It's been 6 weeks today that we welcomed our little Emma into the world! Time has already flown by so fast. It was just about a year ago Joey and I started talking about having another kiddo and as I'm typing this up on my phone, she is sound asleep in my arms. It's about the only way she sleeps and I don't mind at all. It was so crazy to think about how we even started talking about it. I was in the kitchen cleaning up and I had this odd feeling of "oh my goodness what if I'm pregnant!" This strange feeling came over me of warmth and excitement. Literally about 5 minutes later Joey sends me a text saying "I had a dream last night that we were pregnant and we were so happy!" Our positive home test in early March and our first doctors appointment April Fools Day confirmed things were about to change! The first thing is being called "elderly" by my doctor! Apparently being 40 and pregnant makes you old and high risk. It was definitely something Sophie had fun with throughout my pregnancy! Overall it was a healthy pregnancy and little Miss Emma Jean was born 5 weeks 2 days early on October 8th weighing in at 4 pounds 15 ounces. I'll continue to blog about my journey of my "elderly" pregnancy, especially fitness and nutrition and of course my guilty pleasures...chocolate! Some events coming up: 5th Annual Holiday Party: December 10 Bring a friend week: December 12th-17th Stay tuned for more details on those!
